The Hurt Locker is the best war movie I have ever seen. Can anyone suggest something to top it?
And please don’t say Apocalypse Now (which made me want to take a machete to myself after sitting through it.)
Like the man said, word of mouth is still the most powerful moneymaking device. If the movie is half as scary as I’ve heard, people will be talking. Paul Brookes the producer of Haunting in Connecticut stayed in the hotel where I work as a valet for several months while working
on a horror film called A New Daughter shot in Charleston SC mostly at night. He told me about Haunting in Con. When I looked it up on the net (pre-release) test audiences were terrified. Indeed, necromancy and seance are real and scary forms of rite. But after seeing it, I really wasn’t that impressed. Anyways, I’m not big on the house ghost theme but I can’t wait to give this one a shot.
I’m drawing a blank. I just remember last year I went to a party at a club and there was about 300 ppl of which I counted thirty-seven Sweeney Todds. So lame.
whiskey and cigarettes together cause serious tooth decay. I’m having two extracted tomorrow. I think you win Judy. I like it.
Would be a good short horror film. The tub sounds very ominous.
I looked for the Reflecting Skin and couldn’t find it to stream. Surfthechannel.com is my fav for streaming. I wanna watch it, where can I find it online?
Jake and Heath’s role as homosexuals did not cloud the way I identify them on or off the screen. I don’t see how this would affect anyone who is not already biased.
Quentin-I think a part of being a person of faith is not being afraid of death. You kinda catch me as a button pusher or an instigator like a kid poking a carcass to see what kind of bugs come scurrying out. I also find death funny when others don’t but it HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY FAITH.
Sometimes a single scene in a otherwise b movie can affect someone so powerfully they love the entire film. It like a drug it affects everyone differently therefore every opinion matters.
Help me find some good horror films over 2 years ago
Let the Right One In- absolutely amazing, the pool scene at the end had me nearly in tears with joy.
Pandorum- Was everything I hoped it would be, surpassing Sunshine and Event Horizon (also very good.)
The Outpost- Very solid, decent score, good acting, and pretty creepy.
Shadow of the Vampire- Not very horrific, but Dafoe plays one of the most convincing and original vamps to date.

I don’t know, but I was “grossed out” by the trailer. I-Robot meets the Matrix. Blah.

Shadow of the Vampire- Willem DaFoe plays one of the most original and convincing vamps since Gary Oldman nailed D.
