Sandrine Bonnaire really is so wonderful in this...as she is in everything!!
My favorite Hitchcock!
My very favorite film! I identify so strongly with this character!
Eric Bana is wonderful in this iconic Australian film!
I loved this film! It was a little unexpected but Hilmir Snær Guðnason's character is so curiously likeable. I enjoy films where the plot involves putting the unconventional into practice.
So unconventionally romantic! I loved Les Amants!
WOW!. Some really stand out performances. Charming and maybe a little disturbing. Simultaneously beautiful and dirty.
I preferred Campion's "An Angel At My Table" (1990) about author Janet Frame but this tale of dysfunctional relationships was top notch and is filled with the blackest of humor!
I thought it captured the course of a young, imaginative friendship gone completely off kilter rather well. A cinematic folie-a-deux whose result still stuns me every time I watch this film.
An unbelievably tragic film.
Swingin' door Susie! The jail house scene is one of my favorites in all of cinema.
An instant classic! Great colors, great tunes, great acting.
Where can this short film be found?
I was disappointed by this movie. Although- I often reference it when explaining why some boys shouldn't be trusted!
An unbelievably sexy film! Jean Seberg was irresistible, I thought.
I'm not sure why a remake was necessary. This movie is quintessential suspense!
A brilliantly colored tribute to HST and so fun to watch!!
I must admit bluntly that the most interesting aspect of this film was Maria Schneider's coat in the first few scenes. I couldn't get into the plot at all but I thought photographically it was actually quite pleasing to the eye.
This film turned out to be much more interesting than what I thought was going to be a steamy exploration. I thought it was great!
This film simultaneously offers classic hilarity, suspense and sex appeal!
This movie really felt pointless to me. Good concept but I do not feel it was executed well at all.
(o_o) call it. I love Javier Bardem in this movie!
This film really popularized that Minnesota "don't cha knooo", which I've heard dozens and dozens of times since referred to as the "Fargo accent." Also a great film!
What a beautiful film! So poetic and fanciful- like a perfect dream.
My favorite Woody Allen film by far. I love Annie's style!
Emily Watson's performance was amazing in this and similar to Bjork's character in Dancer in the Dark (2000). Or is that my imagination? Stellan Skarsgard is also very handsome. :)
Keaton was an absolute genius!
This film's 8-track soundtrack really makes it come alive!!
Schreck is terrifying!!!
I've been wanting to see this film for a long time but somehow it just never happens. :( I hope The Auteurs will show it!! :D
