Chungking Express

Rewatched after more than a decade. Still really good. WKW themes of loneliness and dialogue with inanimate objects, but surprisingly light, funny, and fluffy despite those heavy themes. This is an incredibly likeable movie, I can't see how anybody can dislike it.

The book was kind of a revelation for me 20sth years ago, it felt the closest to my own basic perception of life even though on the surface it looked quite far away with its monumental style of writing and described styles of living. I am a bit apprehensive now: what if the magic gets lost... bur what he does with words and thoughts is amazing anyway.
