I’d like to see some John Cassavetes up on here.

Faces
Shadows
Gloria
Love Streams
Minnie and Moskowitz
The Killing of a Chinese Bookie
A Woman Under the Influence
Opening Night
Husbands

Which film has changed your life forever? about 4 years ago

That film is nuts, Baylor. I haven’t seen it, I just read the description and it had an effect on me.

Anyway, I’d have to say the film that’s changed my life is probably John Cassavetes’ The Killing of a Chinese Bookie.

From what I’ve seen I haven’t been a huge fan of his but I certainly liked Alphaville the most. But really I should see more Godard before I judge.

Best soundtrack of 2007 about 4 years ago

My vote goes out to Jonny Greenwood for that skin-tearing score that busted eardrums around the world but I also agree with Inland Empire. Ghost of Love is such an awesome song makes my skin crawl.

What to look forward in 2008? about 4 years ago

The new Coen brothers film, I forget the name of it but it’s got to do with the CIA and what not. Looks like it has potential but so does every Coen brothers film.

Your favorite Woody Allen's film? about 4 years ago

Where the hell is Bananas? That’s one of the funniest most absurd films of the 70s!

“You ever been to Denmark?”
“I’ve been to the Vatican.”
“That’s in Rome.”
“Yeah, well they were doin’ so well in Rome they decided to open one up in Denmark.”

It took me a year to come around to Cassavetes. I saw Opening Night a long time ago and about two years later I saw Chinese Bookie and I thought, “Why the hell don’t I like this guy?” So I started watching everything and I’m now a Cassavetes nut.
