Absolutely.
Not a 'real' Kitano movie, but for a yakuza genre movie its still okay.
A stunning and interesting docu film. It's good that the filmmakers didn't judge the process of ruining the planet (they just documented it), but it's quite obvious that this process is one of the most devastating thing the human race has ever done to this planet.
The 'hate' trilogy has come to an end with this piece. For me, Coldfish was the best among the 3 films and the average 144 min length suited that one best. Sono also found there the perfect (horror-black comedy) balance. Here in 'Guilty of Romance' the two female leads brings an unforgettable performance but the story and the motivations failed to untie. Maybe the japanese cut will explain more.
A movie about someone who didn't want to give up his dreams. It's a shame Ed Wood could only chased those dreams and never reached ...but this movie is a fair commemoration of him, and Bela Lugosi. This movie is superb on every level.
Really emotional, one of Clooney's best performance. I think the contrast between the dream like hawaiian locations and the family's inner sadness give a really unique flowing to the movie.
exploitation at its best!
This page should have a more interesting quote from the director. That quote refers to Zatoichi, which is the only samurai movie he made. I'll think about something in connection with his yakuza movies.
Watched it weekend. A very impressive film. It's a quite rare relationship we see there, and even the whole situation seems a little impossible it's a unique journey.
Watched it yesterday and it was a big experience. It's a shame Hollywood stopped doing this kind of quality crime movies. It's the quality of the '90s.
I've watched it this afternoon and really moved me emotionally. Stunning... A visual poetry.
