And of the 400 watched in 2011, which were your favorites and which did you think best?

There's too many to choose favorites. Many I've seen before but a lot of them were new discoveries. I particularly enjoyed watching all of Chaplin's films and most of Keaton and the Marx Brothers. Of course Seven Samurai is a particular highlight because that's what started it all when my eyes were opened to the possibilities of film and classic films. My Top 5 movies that came out in 2011 are: The Tree of Life, Hugo ,Midnight in Paris, Super 8, and The Adventures of Tintin/ War Horse
