Liked it but didn't love it.
pretentious nonsense from Brelliat. Poorly filmed hardcore in the film. Even if you watch this out of curiosity, you will be disappointed that you did. Not even remotely interesting. Just awful. It's not the actors fault, it is Breilliats. She thinks she's doing something so edgy and so important but it's not important. Tries to hard to shock and acts like its saying something but its vacant.
not without it's faults but they are minor enough to overlook. This is a riveting film that is very worthy of it's awards nomination and stands up equally with fellow 09 nominees Up In The Air and Inglourious Basterds. The visual style is sharp. The films largely unknown cast are excellent in their roles. There are some guest apprearances that I would say take a viewer out because of this. A solid film from Bigelow.
sorry, I just have to add that the allmovie guide synopsis above is a reason I do not use them. I feel it's as if they haven't even seen the movie and just go on others synopsis and the above is a fine example of this.
I really enjoyed Transsiberian. It has high ratings on several major sites like Rotten Tomatoes. While I don't think it's a classic for the ages. I do think that its a fine, solid thriller. I do recommend this and I think those who see this will not be disappointed. Requiem For A Dream is so far Aranofsky's best film. It's mesmerizing and stylish and completely devestating. It's a slow descent into hell and madness by way of drugs. The stars deliver extraordinary performances. This is one unforgettable film.
