She is definitely one of my favorites, if not my favorite actress. I love her, she’s amazing. I’d recommend: La Pianiste (arguably her best performance), La Ceremonie, La Vie Promise, 8 Femmes, Madame Bovary, Une Affaire de Femmes, Entre Nous.
Has anyone seen any of her newer films like Private Property, Home, or The Sea Wall?
Favorites: Isabelle Huppert, Juliette Binoche, Catherine Deneuve, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Miranda Richardson, Helen Mirren, Daniel Day-Lewis, Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Gerard Depardieu, Daniel Auteuil, Francois Cluzet (love the French LOL)
Worst: Jessica Alba (can’t believe she hasn’t been mentioned yet, shouldn’t even be considered an actress), Cameron Diaz (can’t act), Hayden Christiansen, Kirsten Dunst (can’t stand her), Will Ferrell (annoying as hell), Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Mathew McConaughey, Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Aniston (wanna b***h slap her), Vince Vaughn, Tom Cruise…God I could go on forever.
anything with Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston followed by a marathon of Harry Potter and Twilight with the theater full of HP & Robert Pattinson freaks
Drew I know how you feel. I’m 16 and seriously none of my friends watch the same movies I watch. They have no idea who Godard, Truffaut, Hitchcock, etc. are. Every time I’m talking about movies, it feels like I’m talking to a wall. Instead I talk with my French teacher. She’s the only person at school, that I know watches the same movies. My friends always ask me what movies we’re talking about and when I tell them they always say they’ve never heard of it.
Yea Paltrow over Blanchett, how the hell did that happen? Or Julia Roberts winning Best Actress for Erin Brockovich over Ellen Burstyn in Requiem For A Dream. What a joke.
Isabelle Huppert? I think she’s very beautiful
Catherine Deneuve
Audrey Hepburn
Greta Garbo
Ingrid Bergman
Monica Bellucci
Anna Karina
Juliette Binoche
Lena Olin
I really loved Place des Victoires by Nobuhiro Suwa, Place des Fêtes by Olive Schmitz, 14th arrondissement by Alexander Payne, Parc Monceau by Alfonso Cuaron, Quais de Seine by Gurinder Chada, Faubourg Saint-Denis by Tom Tykwer, and Bastille by Isabel Croixet.
