Inglourious Basterds

The opening scene is delightful, what a performance by Christoph Waltz! The rest of the film is not up to par, unfortunely, although it captures the genuine 'climate' of post-WWII movies. Tarantino was smart (and brave) enough to hire (good) german and french actors, but then Brad Pitt became a little 'outcasted'... he is not as good as the rest. A better leading actor would give the others something to act against.
