LSD FOR ALL!!! I love this film, i love the music, but for some strange reasons my eyes are bleeding, my mind can not escape the fear of being chased by a big Yellow Submarine and i feel a strange urge to paint my body in psychedelic colours and run naked through fields.... but thats a normal sunday afternoon anyway. What im trying to say is (or at least i think im trying to say) that this film is crazy and captures the feelings of the late 60's psychedelic movement, i know the Beatles spent most of there time in the recording studio getting high, but obviously not as high as the film directors/animators. Its too crazy too "out there" for some minds to comprehend, and thats why i love it sooooooo very much. I mean who really wants realism in the films they watch?, we have to deal with realism everyday (and it sucks). So instead we will ride around singing in a giant Yellow Submarine, to me that sounds like heaven.... who doesent want to hang around with the Beatles in a giant Yellow Submarine whilst taking hits of LCD and making psychedelic music.......... I think i have trailed off what i was ment to be saying.......... The film is a great form of escapism and is extremely entertaining (providing you like the Beatles) and i would recomend it for all (especially those who dabble in such things as LCD. i dont, but i can imaging what it would be like) . Is it better then a 'Hard Days Night'? its hard to say... but its much better than 'Help' Enjoy
This film is no grand work of art, its not even that scary for a horror film, but.... it is so much fun. I loved every second of this highly preditable horror flick. It has jumps, thrills and chills and best of all slap-stick humour. but yet again thats exactly what you expect from director Sam Raimi. If your a fan of the Evil Dead trilogy then you will love this, especially the sequence with a possesed goat.
