Chris gives realism to his performances by his odd, unexpected way of acting. His reactions are always one step ahead of the audience. This is what fascinates me about him.
I totally agree with something Cronenberg said about himself in a speech: he is a kind of art criminal who invested in "the tension that exists between the innate wildness of the art and the desired order of society. The crimes of art, the crimes of transgression, are not against the known laws of society, but against the unknown laws, the secret laws".
