I have so much respect for the time (12+ yrs) and work that went into this film, especially the lead actors. The cinema verite style worked for me as did the Godfather part II - esque thematic parallel flashbacks. If you don't feel anything for these characters by the end you're not human or just have never experienced a bitter breakup following a sweet love.
A perennial American classic. Will be studied in film classes for some time.
Minimalist and vintage QT.
My favorite Wes Anderson film. Its "genius".
Wes Anderson's 400 Blows.
Vintage Jim Jarmusch.
This film is "Robert Frost in Italian."
The poster child for episodic (quirky?) minimalist cinema and features Jarmusch’s now archetypal deadpan sad-sack comedy. Its also rather poetic.
David Lynch's first feature length foray into singular cinematic mind fucks.
