Certainly not the best Natali movie, but still has shocking and emotive moments, and his twisted sense of humour. A must see for fans of the genre.
A modern popcorn-horror masterpiece. Absolutely recommendable.
Agree with the "dentist scene" (Horrible without showing anything, is mostly the sound) the "ESSEN!" scene also will be forever in my head.
I'm absolutely in love with the Chesire Cat. I demand an oscar for Best Animal Performance. Also loved the Donnie Darko references in the giant bunny monster.
Found it surprisingly naive, stylized and innocent in its treatment of violence and sadism. Like a clash between a child detective tale and a thriller. A wonderful document of the "giallio" era. I enjoyed it a lot. "Somebody told me to came to Italy: 'nothing happens there" XD
I can't believe we don't even have a still image! This movie rules!
Super-funny & gondry-esque!
Asfixiating recreation on decadence and dirtyness, I couldn't stand it. If you like this kind of movies, have a look on this, you won't be disappointed: http://www.theauteurs.com/films/2786
I love this man and his movies. There's no auteur (undoubtly he's one, one with indecent amounts of money i have to say) who has destroyed our world so many times in a filmography of just a dozen movies. If Godard says cinema is "girls and guns", Roland could say cinema is "fire, explosions, things with epic proportions and stereotypical marionettes you can drive though them".
Un cóctel maestro de surrealismo, ciencia ficción, radiografía social y terror religioso, aunque supongo que los entendidos me crucificarán por decir tanta gilipollez, me pareció la ostia puta, super entretenida y fascinante.
A cinema masterclass condensed in half an hour. Mesmerising.
Absolutamente agobiante, un baile de máscaras en el matadero. Puro existencialismo. As christopherjohn says, an epic grand guignol.
"The witchcraft through the ages". A fascinating monument, still having all its original powers and dareness.
What a serendipity. Reminds me a lot in some things the project i'm worknig on: "The Cosmonaut" ( www.thecosmonaut.org ) We bought the DVD in Russia, but sadly no english subs :S I'm dying to have the chance of watching... and understand it!
Stunning. The beginning, when you are among the crowds waiting for Hitler to come out of the plane, is one of the scariest, most powerful moments in propaganda cinema EVER.
