Best film about slavery so far. Wonderful cinematography. What I really loved was that this film was a hard film to swallow. So many visuals lingered...one's that were hard to see, but absolutely crucial in order to remember the harsh and complicated past that slavery holds. So many dynamics done well, here. An entire cast of shining performances; however, Lupita, Michael, and Chiwetel are the clear stand outs.
Ah, Jang Sun-Woo. It was even in my to watch list! I'm completely in love with the one film I saw by him which is the Road to the Racetrack. I really need to watch more Korean films, I've only seen some more recent ones. Most of the classics seem hard to find though.
