i thought i was the only one who felt nauseous...
Definitely doesn't "feel" like a Kubrick film. Nevertheless I enjoyed it for it's sweeping sword and sandal epic qualities. Peter Ustinov is great. Always good to see Woody Strode's stony face. One of my biggest issues with the film was the music. Overbearing and saccharin.
I want to strangle Scott Pilgrim. Obnoxious movie based on an obnoxious comic book. Disappointed in Edgar Wright as I loved Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. This one though...it makes my stomach turn.
I don't understand why everyone hated this movie so much. What were you expecting, Citizen Kane? It was fun and cowboys fought aliens and Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford ran around being hunky. What's the problem?!
This is a modern masterpiece.
Fantastic garbage.
What the fuck Lasseter. What a boring waste of time.
-"And we can rust the whole world...and scatter it into the dust of the universe!" -"Sounds like fun."
3 stars for Guy Siner
3 stars for Lee Armstrong's outfit.
This movie redeemed itself completely for me with the hologram Crystal Lake scene. Gold.
Norwegian Black Metal guys come off as spoiled, bratty, impotent dickheads. Interesting nonetheless. Don't tell them I said that though. They might stab me.
Shades of Steve McQueen and Clint Eastwood in Ryan Goslings performance. The Man With No Name.
Gosling's character is poorly written--clumsy and flat. As an actor, he's nowhere near the iconic status of Eastwood in the "Man With No Name" trilogy.
All in all not one of his best, but for a few key scenes (murder, bus etc).
Far superior to the 2008 film
What the fuck
Has anyone seen the remake?
The Mahones (the last fighters theme song) are friends of mine, toured with them a couple times. Great band, Awesome exposure, good movie.
watch it with the rifftrax audio commentary. too good.
Yea, it was ok. I'm a big Universal Monster fan and for me this one kinda lay down on it's side. Bela Lugosi is a shitty Monster. Lon Chaney was good though.
The different ending gimmick is awesome
A truly chilling ending.
meh
maybe it's because I didn't see this when I was a kid and have no feelings of nostalgia for it, but this movie made me feel ill.
ITS NAHT A TUMAH!!
Chainsaw fight between Leatherface and Dennis Hopper?! YES PLEASE!
Pepe was always kind of on the verge of raping that poor cat.
a long and arduous clunker of a movie
Im a huge fan of the book. Interested to see what happens with this.
the only movie to smudge pixar's otherwise pristine track record.
Started out great, could've gone somewhere very interesting. copped out.
