I am an aspiring director, writer and actor who produces his own short films. My passion for the art form has always affected my thought processes and artistic viewpoints and indelibly imprinted in me a critical eye for film and an acute aesthetic sense for the beauty and wonder that the world around me can be captured. Incorporating the auteur methods and visual aesthetics of such artists as Malick and Tarkovsky, and by focusing on the emotional elements of the story, I rely on the rawness of tone and the honesty of characters. My films are usually thematically heavy and full of visual motifs and imagery. It is my philosophy that a film should always be about something and that what appears on the surface may never be what a film is truly about.
But as for me, I am a stoic, introverted person who enjoys the simpler nuances of life. My nostalgia for the past makes me reflect on what I have done and what I will do. I often wonder what I will become in my later years.
For those close to me though, I can be a witty, loose, often humorous person who enjoys debating film, philosopy, politics and anything else. The strongest thing a person can have is an opinion and I pity those who can’t muster one for themselves. That is why i want to be a filmmaker. I can tell stories my own way, say things I couldn’t even imagine with words and reach people on a visceral level.
