Engaging but not one of his bests. This is the kind of movie that needs a rating system with half stars. Not quite three stars but not two stars either...

Juveniles gone wild. It was like a sitcom on the WB or something. It felt like how I might imagine watching the new Melrose Place series must feel.

I liked the first few minutes and then it very quickly turned into one of the worst movies I have ever seen. A virtuosic explosion of middle aged narcissism that is also defiantly skin deep. It was the kind of kitsch that turns your stomach instead of turning you on. One day I may watch it and laugh but the night I saw it at the CIFF, I was horrifed and sickened.

I thought it was excellent but wondered even while watching it if I'd have liked it so much in the non-3D version. Sure, there were things about it that weren't great but overall I loved it. It's like nothing I've ever seen before.
