Still an amazing film. Exactly what I needed right now.
Some of Bergman's best writing and boldest direction, with solid performances from all, especially Max von Sydow. A dark and beautiful film that perfectly finished the decade of Bergman's finest work.
An unsettling, yet beautiful film that conveys a strong mood. I found it hard to emotionally connect, but thought it was great film regardless.
I'd like to first thank you for the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I always knew that I wanted to do something regarding film but it wasn't until I saw those films in theaters that I knew I wanted to pursue a career in filmmaking. 1) What was it like to move from small productions to the massive production of LotR? 2) What motivated you or rather instilled you with confidence while both trying to break into one of the most exclusive industries and also directing one of the largest productions ever?
Glad to see this finally got added. An absolutely fantastic and engrossing film, easily Stone's best.
One of the most beautiful films of all time, gets better with every viewing.
We need Rebelt on here.
