Int. Big Hollywood Studio. Day. Film Exec: YEAH! LETS DO A REMAKE!
Seen this a couple of months ago. Left the theater in a dreamlike mindset. Totally disoriented from what I just saw. At that moment, I couldn't figure out if i loved it or hated it. Now, I can say I absolutely loved it. Kaufman manages to transport us to a spiral dimension, making it an interesting viewing experience.
If Soderbergh had taken more risks from the ideological standpoint, this film could have been a gem of modern cinema. But no, for me it ended up being a typical american cliche.
This Haynes guy is a genius. He understands rock and roll. He understands the biopic genre. He's creative about it... what else can you ask?
This is one of those films that came late in my life, becoming an instant personal hit.
I remember watching this film a couple of months ago. Although fashionably long, I take great joy of watching characters that have absolutely nothing to do but see were the day takes them -at least in the beginning of the storyline-. I also enjoyed Hong Sang-soo's ocational comeding punch. I think I have to see this and Woman on the Beach again. This director has a sharp perspective on relationships.
I've never been a Walter Salles fan, but I loved Terra Estrangeira. The first scenes in the city has both a realist and dreamy feel. Beautiful. I think this might be it people... I might turn into a Salles fan after this.
It's Chaplin, It's Cantinflas, and it's Tati. The kings of comedy.
[Best Opening Shot] Scarlet's panties.
When I grow up, I want to be like Johnny To.

Don't you just love it that the last word said by Kubrick -through film- is "fuck"?
SHUT UP DONNY!
ROCK AND ROOOOOOLLLLLLLLL YEAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH (i feel like trashing my office right now)
In this film, Peter Sellers makes one of the most impressive display of acting skills ever seen in the history of mankind.
Doctor: What are you doing here, honey? You're not even old enough to know how bad life gets. Cecilia: Obviously, Doctor, you've never been a 13-year-old girl. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enough said. This film is fantastic. I luv Sofia.
[OPEN LETTER] Dear God, I never think of death often, but when the time comes, I wish to be killed by a futuristic computer that sends me floating to the infinite... please. Thank you, Juan.
[OPEN LETTER] Dear Vincent Gallo, What the fuck?!?!?! All my best, JuanCP

I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!
I've been going through a futuristic binge lately... Alphaville is a favourite.
no, I'm not talking to you. I'm talking to that pretty lady with the afro.
YES! YES! YES! This film is like doing bungee jumping, but without checking if the elastic rope works or not. If you haven't seen this... you suck.
This film took me back to the good old teenager years, when I used to get a kick out of Indiana Jones/ Jurassic Park type of blockbusters. Fantastic.
