About Me

I am a burgeoning critic, novice screenwriter, video editor, and overall lover of all things film residing in Denver. Seen Said is my vain attempt to contribute to the ever-growing body of film criticism afforded by today’s socially networked world. Here are my careful reviews, thoughts, and laudings about movies, directors, actors, and cinematic trends. More modestly, it’s motivation to make writing a regular habit.

Please visit Seen Said for all my criticism and appreciation on film.

Miss-bala

Miss Bala

An entirely terrifying, fully realized portrait of a politically ruined country's hopes and fears. In a way that is both mystifying and accessible, present-day Mexico's drug cartel rulership is presented using a smart, gender-conscious twist on its cultural symbolism.

Ha! No. I wish. I saw those films years ago and something reminded me of them, so I rated them. They're great!

Yeah, man, MADAME DE... was amazing. So graceful and I loved how nuanced all the characters are. In the perfect middle ground, just enough to be complicated but still mysterious and organic.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I haven't seen any Ophuls, but I can't wait to check some out. Plus I love Walbrook.
