this is actually pretty good, i think it deserves a special mention but only 3 stars
fell asleep 1/4 through
well, it wasn't totally awful.
the ending of this movie (if you can call it an ending) is one of the most disappointing i've ever seen. i really enjoyed it, but it came apart so badly in the end that it really lost a lot of it's charm for me.
this was garbage, the original tarkovsky film is far better
i found this movie quite charming, much like the main character himself
the other tetsuo movie sucked so bad that i refuse to watch this
this movie is an absolute piece of crap with no discernible plot, the worst acting i've ever seen, incomprehensible imagery, and retarded special effects. you would be better off watching a goddamn megadeth music video for an hour (and seven minutes) than this nonsense.
all right, now this is a bit odd for me to throw out there, but despite my affinity for the subject matter and style, i didn't like this film at all. it was funny at first, but quickly became boring and just incredibly tiresome. i couldn't wait for it to end, it seemed like it dragged on for centuries. i'm super, super disappointed. i was sure that i was going to love this.
i just could not get into this. it came highly recommended to me, but i'm going to have to disappoint my friend and tell him that i couldn't even get through half of it.
this movie had such potential.
this is a great, great, highly underrated movie. it's beautiful, colorful, and i am pretty sure it is the only movie which has jack nicholson in a role where he isn't trying to fuck some old lady while he arches his eyebrows and says something coy. then again, i haven't seen one flew over the cuckoo's nest yet, but i won't rule anything out.
i didn't find this movie to be particularly inspired, it just seemed like it was banking on the fact that it was showing risque gay love scenes and that should be enough for it to be a 'good' movie. there's a lot of nice photography in this movie, but the plot is weak and the overall aim really isn't very subtle or really all that poignant.
this movie is definitely very underrated, but it's no masterpiece. a fun, funny, and somewhat tragic movie. it satisfied me, but i only happen to be a fan of this kind of stuff i suppose.
this movie has the saddest little boy i've ever seen. the music in this movie can at times be incredibly haunting and make even stock documentary scenes (like the chinese revolution scenes) terrifying and awe inspiring.
fuck this movie.
this movie just isn't that great. it's fun to watch, but i really don't find it moving or particularly emotionally rousing.
for the love of god, why is there no showgirls page?
one of the best shootouts i've ever seen. al pacino is hilarious in this movie, his character is ridiculously over the top. i think the ending puts the movie to rest very nicely as well.
i just watched this movie, and i found it genuinely hilarious. i feel terrible giving it 4 stars, but i have to admit that i haven't laughed like this in a while. it really isn't a good movie, but my rating is purely and unquestionably my own personal feeling and is in no way testament to it's actual quality.
i feel very guilty for really liking this film, i gave it 3 stars but i am not sure that gives it quite enough credit, because it was actually pretty good. it was hard to make up my mind sometimes about where this movie was going while i was watching it
