If you don't like this movie because of the so-called lack of plot, read up on Jarmusch, watch Dead Man, and then re-watch Limits of Control. It's a fantastic dreamlike study of mundane events, of waiting, of mystery, with a meaning that even eludes Jarmusch according to a few interviews. A beautiful picture.
Possibly the coolest film I saw in 2008 (USA release). It's one of the smartest mixing of styles and genres in the history of cinema.
I saw this at TATE Modern in London, and I was mesmerized and watched it several times in a row. I'd love to see it again. It's such a completely refreshing cinematic experience.
This is one of my favorite films of all time. An amazing cinematic experience. It is terribly underrated.
