To be a consice and revered critic you must say that a work is like two other works combined, e.g. “It’s like All That Heaven Allows meets Def Jam’s How to Be a Player” or say it’s like a previous work or artist on either acid or steroids, e.g. “Basically, it’s Ozu on steroids”.
