Incredibly eerie and haunting film. Beautifully directed with moving performances from the entire cast. Quite possibly my favorite film of 2011. As always, the UK is churning out some wonderful films but they're often overlooked. Ben Wheatley has my attention. Can't wait to see what he does next.
Why are there two versions of The Devils listed?
Brilliantly deconstructed political thriller. A feast for the senses. Easily one of Jim Jarmusch's best films and quite possibly my favorite film of 2009.
I personally prefer Streisand the actress to Streisand the director but when I became a "fan" her name suddenly appeared on my list of favorite "auteurs."
Good director but mostly known for his writing and for good reason. He's a brilliant script writer who worked on many of Hammer Studios best horror films.
Beautiful, brilliant and sublime. Huston's swan song does James Joyce proud.
