3.5 stars. Can't bring myself to only give it three, but I'm not buying into all the hype. There are a handful of performers that deseved oscar noms over these two.

a wonderful and ambitious social allegory for the "stormy" and "turbulent" times we face today. Excellent performances by Chastain and Shannon. Looks like Shannon and Nichols will be re-teaming again in 2013. Can't wait.

had only seen this film censored on cable as a child. Watched the original cut and thought it was hilarious! very edgy, even by 80's comedy standards.

A much darker "Hangover". flawed, but enjoyable.

Funny is Funny.. And this film makes me laugh just as hard as some of the greatest comeidies ever made. Snobbery and Pretensions be damned, excellent film.

If you liked "Drive" you should check out "Thief". Mann's 1981 film, was clearly a great influence on Refn.
