i've seen two film by Medem and i can't but agree to your statement on that thread....i'll have to see his first three ones but you know, the Americanized influence is so enormous that most are either hiding under a pile or just being ignored from the "scholars" of criticism...Medem is one of those neglected ones.

http://btjunkie.org/search?q=angelopoulos&o=41 and http://thepiratebay.org/search/angelopoulos/0/1/0 links to nearly all of Angelopoulos' films, hopefully all of them with subs, anythign you download with offer you a first taste of Greek cinema because as you can see, availability with subtitles is an issue but i highly suggest Traveling Players, Reconstruction and Voyage to Cythera and i'd add Alexander the Great but do check if the rip has any subs, i'm not really sure :(
