But Zack Snyder made 300! The greatest piece of art ever created. Oh and that Dawn of the Dead Remake. Those are two films if you don’t like are clearly not a film buff.

A REAL Challenge for The Auteurs over 2 years ago

Are you kidding? Bad News Bears is not only bad, it’s unnecessary. But anywhos, it’s very very very very very very easy to name autuers who aren’t Tarantino. Rene Feret is one. He’s a very underappreciated master of life in rural France.

A suggestion for Tsai Ming-Liang is not to watch The Wayward Cloud first, because even though it has the same themes of his others it’s also radically different visually. In fact it reminds me more of say the Cremaster Cycle.

what do people think of this site's list of the greatest films of all time as voted by the site's users over 2 years ago

If you have Wavelength and Brakhage’s Dog Star Man on a list with Altman’s Popeye or say Jonathan Demme’s Beloved, you are watching film correctly.

Loudly he exclaimed, “no, not the grapeberries!” Then he tripped over a metal garbage can and proceeded to make out with it.

Why are people discussing Roman’s “illegal activities”? I understand there’s a time and place for that, but this is about cinema, not personal lives.

The only way The Sims will be great is if they all utter their dialogue incomprehensibly, and make cooing baby sounds.

I’m currently being followed by two people, whoo hoo! I feel sorry for them though, cause I don’t say or do anything exciting.

Considering most of Yang’s films seem to be in crap conditions, I third Yang for a better transfer. He’s also far more important historically speaking in cinema.

How mad will you be if Avatar wins Best Picture? about 2 years ago

I wouldn’t be surprised, I’ll put it that way. The Academy seems to think more in terms of dollars=quality rather than what is quality.

'Uncle Boonmee Recalls His Past' in Cannes about 2 years ago

I’m sad to say for some odd reason I’ve never seen a Joe film even though I’ve know of him for ages. All the talk about it at Cannes has excited me to start watching his stuff.

If I were to ask you to recommend a film that is totally unlike any I would have seen... about 2 years ago

Most definitely Bossy Burger by Paul McCarthy. It’s an excess in nonsense and insanity. Best film of the 90’s, in my opinion.

Film of the Year about 2 years ago

The only thing I’ve really seen from 2010 is Raoul Ruiz’s A Closed Book, but it’s not going to be in my top ten or anything by the end of the year.

Is it just me or did anyone else find the opening of Antichrist downright silly? I mean I laughed both times I watched it. Utterly pretentious, but it’s beautiful.
