Great short! Loved how the images of horse faces came back throughout the film. In this movie the horses stay real beings, while humans are a faceless and autonomous process that happens to them.

i think i bored entire mubi with val del omar and recommending him and celebrating when someone fans him :D but i'm not kidding when i say i think he's a genius of cinema. the way his camera makes everything as utterly beautiful and mysterious mix of beauty, poetry, filth, death and pain is just beyond words. really happy you liked his films :) and glassy ocean is wonderful, too :) and john smith, hmm, i somewhat liked "lost sound", "blight" and "kiss". hotel diaries are somewhat meh (i'm talking from personal impressions, of course, nothing competent :) ), but interesting in its idea, i thought. at least i find diarystic films interesting. in that regard you might like "from the notebook of...", by robert brear. i prefer markopoulos' work tho, but really loved that one. and i can't go without recommending black sun by tarn and especially own death by forgacs to any admirer od experimental cinema :)

Own Death looks great! You are always welcome to feed me with new films I should see. Haven't seen much diarystic films, but I liked This Is Not A Film - more as an idea than as a film tho (hence the title :)). And I share your enthusiasm for Val Del Omar! Looking forward to see more of his work. Btw: cool you put The Mistral in your French top 10!
