I just watched _Flunky, Work Hard_, and had the similar reaction to your own. I have yet to watch the rest of the set, but was wondering if the experimentation continued.

The editing style chills quite a bit afterwards, but the rest still ignores conventions like the 180-degree rule. The camera goes a little over the top with the the whole closing-in and pulling-out schtick in the middle of the series.
