cried buckets over Departures (hahaha), though may funny parts siya in the beginning. can't go wrong with an academy award winner! i also saw Death at a Funeral and Once last weekend. enjoyed both! hmm..what should i watch next?

It wasn't swoon worthy (felicity jones' clothes)- she kept her palette neutral, verging on drab, wore sweaters 80% of the time, and put minimal effort in styling. Anyway back to the movie, i think it painted a brutally honest picture of "long distance" relationships (why it strikes a chord, cos ive been there before). :) light? i watch anything but light haha kidding, my happy movies are a lot like love, the boat that rocked, & away we go... (what a random selection). but i highly suggest you watch wonderland, two lovers, and the shape of things (my favorite "social realism" pieces). (:

its so unsettling (and oddly pleasurable, i guess im a little masochistic for wanting to indulge in this movie) to see such a brutally honest depiction of a relationship. makes you want to not want to invest anymore para di ka masaktan.

hinde ko pala nalagyan ng haha, so parang ang seryoso ko pala dun. haha. yeah, medyo nga. scary talaga, but i guess watching movies that mirror social realities is empowering din at times, you become both wiser and more cynical without having to experience them first hand hahaha

Like Crazy wasn't spectacular, but I think the story's a pretty good piece of social realism. Tuwang tuwa din ako sa outfits ni Felicity Jones sa movie. haha
