About Me

Farewell to the Ark (1984)

Johanna (2005)

Most of my favorite films are dominated by actresses or feature beautiful women who tend to “steal the show.” I don’t have one favorite actress like I have a favorite director, but among my favorites are Ingrid Thulin, Monica Bellucci, Eva Green, Beatrice Dalle, Isabelle Adjani, Harriett Andersson, Jane Birkin, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Bibi Andersson, Monica Vitti, Nastassja Kinski, Giulietta Masina, Irène Jacob, Moniek Toebosch, Catherine Deneuve, Roxane Mesquida, Julie Delpy, Gong Li, Brigitte Bardot, Juliette Binoche, Emmanuelle Beart, Anna Mouglalis, Élodie Bouchez, and Shabnam Tolouei.

Note to self:
To watch (not on MUBI):
The Muthers (1976)
The Black Gestapo (1975)
The Wolf Woman (1916)
Maniac (1934)
The Wages of Sin (1938)
Because of Eve (1948)
Not Tonight Henry (1960)
House on Bare Mountain (1962)
Kiss Me Quick! (1964)
The Naked Venus (1959)
Garden of Eden (1954)
My Tale Is Hot (1964)
A Taste of Flesh (1967)
Butterfly (1975)
Sometime Sweet Susan (1975)
Swedish Marriage Manual (1969)

Have to love a person that puts up there both tyler perry and costa gavras as great film directors. Love that you're able to enjoy both of them and extract the dividends of awesome they both do contain. Ahahaha. Guilty pleasures notwithstanding. Why does a guilty pleasure has to be a lesser film work. Just because it's bad. Damn that. Love the way you express your undying love for so so so so so so so so many film's actresses. Dunno if anyone's missing from your canon. Miss Huppert? :P

Oh man, at this point, PLENTY are missing. I don't think I've updated that collage in over a year. I've thought about making a list, instead of updating the collage, even though I know I ought to do both. What do you think? (Also, thanks for re-following me)

I hear you man. This site is hard-work. No pic-nic at the park. That's for sure. My back aches from doing so many reviews standing up. Seriously. How many pics have you got up there? Over a year huh? That's been quite a while too. Yes a list would be nice. But I do like your collage. It's very Tumblr. It's very Internet 1.0. Old school internet. You know. I think you should keep it and a few, I dunno. It's your profile. Both would be nice, sure. But hey. A dude's time is a dude's time. RIght. Sometimes time is not to be found. So you know...You're very welcome. You seem a nice lad at that. And I do love your profile pic. Do you agree that it looks like Meadow "Jamie-Lynn Sigler" Soprano winking at us, the audience?

Oh, I agree. I love Lykke Li so much. Are we friends on Facebook? If so, check out my new photo album, 200 Actresses. It's a work in progress, but it's essentially a photographic list of my 200 favorite actresses.
