Dennis Hopper is one of the best actors to have ever lived. The divorce story is tragic.

What is this obsession with Criterion? over 2 years ago

I’m from the UK so maybe I don’t quite understand but I see loads of threads about films being released by the criterion collection and just about the dvd cases and stuff like that. What’s the big deal?

Top 5 Slasher Films Of All Time over 2 years ago

John Carpenter spawned the slasher genre, so really the only slasher film I feel has merit is Halloween.

Definedivine you are spot on about that film. I am an Anarchist and it is a joke to what Anarchism stands for.

Last film I watched was Night of the Hunter (1955) 8/10

How many times do you watch a film? over 2 years ago

I hear about people re-watching films as a rule. I don’t generally do this I usually only watch a film once and by this I evaluate it. I usually think I can tell whether a film is great or not by one viewing.

However I can see them merits of multiple viewings, for example I only truly appreciated Blade Runner and The Shining after I watched them twice.

What is your stance on multiple viewings?

How many times do you watch a film? over 2 years ago

I do watch a lot of films I love twice and more than twice, but I find there’s only so much time to watch films, so that time is usually filled by watching films I haven’t seen yet.

The Terminator 8/10

I am not completely dismissive of Hollywood. As much as I would like not to, I enjoyed this film. It was a thriller in the simplest way possible. But it works.

Jets match up to Indy well I think, so I’m passing judgement on that one.

Not sure about the NFC title game either. Probably NO I think….
