I have to say that shot on the beach was one of the most moving and emotional scenes I have ever seen.AFUCHS I think that the shot girls were perhaps just caught up in the war, just bumped into the wrong people. The French Soldier from my understanding he knew he was going to die and so wanted to know love and made up a story and Briony played along with it so he didn't die alone

I love this film it is so different from the norm and an interesting concept the characters were so colourful its almost like being in a dream.
