I’m currently living in the Bronx, but I have plans to move to the West Coast sometime in the future. I don’t go to the movies anymore and I don’t enjoy most new movies. These days I watch movies either through DVD or cable
(usually TCM, sometimes IFC). I enjoy most genres of movies, but I especially enjoy cult movies and mostly ones that were released before 2000 (that means I may enjoy something like Eraserhead or Forbidden Zone, but not something like Donnie Darko or Fight Club). I also a lot of populist genres like science fiction, horror, and mystery/suspense. I enjoy some foreign films, mainly by people like Bergman (his 50’s and 60’s films; rarely anything past 1970), Bresson (his black and white films)
and Truffaut (most likely anything before 1980). I’m not snobby, but I am very particular in what I like. Same goes with music,
literature, television and anything else. Anyway, I look forward to checking this place out from time to time.
