Steve Buscemi, Gary Oldman, and John Turturro never being recognized is also ridiculous. Turturro in “Quiz Show”, “Miller’s Crossing”, and “Barton Fink”??? All brilliant performances.
And as far as this year’s race is concerned, Bridges shouldn’t get it. He should’ve got it for “Lebowski” or one of his other many fine performances. Jeremy Renner blows his competition out of the water with “The Hurt Locker.”
