A masterwork of optical printing. If you get the chance to see this incredible movie, PLEASE don't miss it.
I wish bread day were available on DVD
More people on this site should watch this gift of a film. Never didactic and always humble and meditative, Abdikalykov's poetic language reaches a level of sophistication that, in my opinion, rivals that of Tarkovsky or Bresson. This is a truly beautiful work from a filmmaker who i just have to find out more about now.
Found this fairly flat compared to distant and climates. Ceylan is a deft image-maker, but he seems to have lost sight of whatever it was that was fueling the riveting art speech of a movie like distant.
Please give daddy a press pass :(
Haha joseph. I thought it was damn memorable, myself.
Love this movie. You know how many of Kitano's films have a kind of strange and warm naivete about them? Well this movie is the distillation of that. Its a slow-moving work, but really rewarding.
