Totally agree with you here. I'd also like to mention a few scenes where the animal is treated like a piece of meat. Things like this need to stop.
Im trying to think and recent movie about a sex addict or sex addiction in general, and i can’t recall, so it was refreshing seeing a movie about this topic. Professionally filmed, good performances by Mr Fassbender and that Carey Mulligan chick who i usually don’t like, this film is easy to watch. The director used a lot of minimalism and close shots of the characters. Reminded me a little bit of ”American Psycho” which is a good sign.
Just jump, who cares? Sam Worthington is trash. Avatar, Clash and Wrath Of The Titans and now this turd? Zero suspense, Zero action, Zero originality. I already saw this movie when it was called “Phone Booth” in 2002.
Wow, now this is a movie! I was tense and nervous while watching, it has real footage from the crime scene and dead bodys. Also interviews with the killers (one is going to get exectued soon) the victims family’s and the cops who worked on the case. You don’t need “Paranormal Activity’s”, “Saw’s” or Exorcism movies, reality is more frighting.
Why is this movie making tons of cash? Why did this movie worked? All i could think while watching this movie was the fantastic “Battle Royale”. It needed more violence, also it was not cool that both protagonist won “The Hunger Games”, that was cheap. Hopefully the next installment will have more creativity.
I heard great things about this one, and the trailers looked promising, but it was not cool. I like Jonah Hill but he already lost it by playing the same character over and over again. The jokes were repetitive and unoriginal, especially the explosion joke and when they “got high” I was having a bad time, and to top it all, Mr douchebag himself, Mr Johnny Depp made a cameo, that was the lowest point in the movie.
So like, my mom wanted to watch a movie on a Sunday afternoon and i was like “I have the perfect movie for you, its full of “stars” and nice shots of New York on new year’s eve, i’ll love it, i will cry and laugh, it will be awesome”… …I WAS WRONG.
Bad Ass. I haven’t enjoyed an action movie since “The Bourne Ultimatum” (2007). Unlike Bourne, this movie shows you all the fighting in your face, no shaky camera here. The story its nothing new, but the solid cast, the great direction of Soderbergh and the cool music makes a great experience. Gina Carano is awesome, a real woman who can really kick ass. Fuck you Angelina Jolie.
The last 15 minutes of this movie are action packed crazy shit, like riding a roller-coaster on acid. Amazing visual effects. The movie was cheap to make and did very well on the box-office, so we are going to get part two soon.
America’s teenager stupidity to its full expression. Dumb cliched characters (The innocent protagonist, The Stifler friend and the Mcloving nerd) Talking and doing drugs and sex and blah blah blah, same old story. They try to make it fresh by using the overused “found footage” style but its exactly like the 80′s movies. Can you call yourself a comedy when you’re not funny? There is dog humping.
Totally agree with you here. I'd also like to mention a few scenes where the animal is treated like a piece of meat. Things like this need to stop.
Wow, what the fuck happened here? I guess the story of Margaret Thatcher might be interesting, but the video clip style selected to shoot the movie its sooo wrong. Why is she talking to ghosts? Why the make up makes her look like an SNL spoof? Meryl Streep might be a good actress, but this is too much. Her good performance is wasted in a messy film that drags way too long.
This is another one i was pretty sure i was going to hate, but i was entertained, Yes its very unrealistic and the kid, god! he is super queer and annoying and bizzare, just like a Wes Anderson character and really makes the whole story more fake. But since i like mysteries i wanted to know what the fuck did that key opened i had to see it all. Also was really happy that Sandra Bullock was on this less than 10 minutes, i hate her.
Good job for Ms. Moore, a real challenge since when you think of someone playing Palin, you automatically think of Tina Fey, but she owned the role. Ed Harris as McCain was good also.
Exactly the same as last year, the correct and borring “The King’s Speech” won the Oscar for best movie and no one remembers that film now. Same here “The Artist” is ok, and nothing else, in a year no one will remember this film. The actors ok, i bet that after wining the oscar Jean Dujardin next movie will be playing a villan in a pop-corn movie.
If this one would have won the Oscar it would have been fine.
Mr. Scorsese i get that sometimes you want to do something different, but stick to the maffia.
Chis Cooper’s rap was my favorite part.
I already saw this movie when it was called “The Ghost And The Darkness”
Its sad to find the kid from “Where The Wild Things Are” in this crap
The movie deals with topics like what is the meaning of success or living in the past very good and dispite the fact that Mavis Gary is a crazy bitch i could totally relate to her.
The fact that the cheating wife its described like a home-wrecker, drunk and bad mom by most of the characters and we only see her just laying there looking all miserable and sick in a coma, really got to me.
The only thing i got form the story its that Hoover was a paranoid homosexual dude who liked to dress like a tranny
Not even the usually good Aaron Eckhart and Amber Heard’s tits are worth.
You can see all the "twists" miles away
What a waste.
This new version was made only to cash in a successful franchise of books, but its had the good fortune to get a director like David Fincher to give interesting music and visual concepts. To watch more than one time. I give this 4 Stars, because the story is good and the execution was in the quality standards i was expecting.
It pains to me say i did not understand half of it.
Basicaly its sounds boring, but the way is told in a non-linerar style, makes it suspensful. The chick that played Martha was ok , The creepy leader of the “cult” was fine as well (this actor also played a creepy dude in “Winter’s Bone”). I don’t have much else to say, other than the first viewing may not have produce much in me, its seemes to be one of thouse pictures that hunts you and demand a second viewnig.
The deal here is that the house is home of talking rats who eat teeth. That’s pretty much it.
This Almodovar dude its getting to dark and creepy. To his usual formula of drama, sickness, homosexuality, hospitals, secrets and pain he adds sexchange. The movie is ok, the quality of music and visuals are what you expect from this filmaker, the issue is the structure of the film. Just how “Martha Marcy May Marlene” the key to the film is ONE big revelation and revolves around it in a non linear way. Once the secret is out, you understand some of the scenes of the begging, but then its drags to much, also there is a lot things going one here. The Antonio Banderas character has one of the worst luck ever in movie histor
Well constructed and paced, good performance by Pitt (though for moments he reminded me to Aldo Raine form Inglorious Basterds”), the movie its entreating and keeps you hooked. The only issue was seeing Jonah Hill here, totally out of place.
