Hilarious. Probably one of my favorite movies.
Not entirely as captivating and endearing as Spirited Away, but a masterpiece nonetheless.
Further proof that Woo was (at least at one time) the master of the bullet ballet.
A great action film.
Fantastically tense and gripping with unforgettable characters and acting and an extremely well written script. Covers both ends of its spectrum, thriller and commentary, with flying colors. Kurosawa and Mifune never cease to entertain, ever.
Rourke gives one of the most moving and heart wrenching performances I've seen in a long time, and really just takes the film to a whole new level. Amazing.
Was not impressed. Found it unoriginal, convoluted, and kind of boring. Tony Stark is about as interesting as a plank of wood, and I felt no sympathy for the character whatsoever. Hell, I felt more for Sam Rockwell when he was arrested than I did for Stark at any point in the film. Pretty generic action flick overall. Nothing sets it apart from the crowd.
Possibly the best action film ever made.
It's okay and all, I'm just sick of people constantly raving how "unique" and "deep" this "masterpiece" is. Not a single one of those three words applies.
Too often abuses the cliches it's trying to parody.
Quite possibly better than The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
Probably my biggest guilty pleasure, but I absolutely love this movie.
Best sci-noir ever made. Amazing atmosphere and fantastic characters drive the story forward. Never a dull moment.
Anyone seen The Gauntlet? Is it any good?
Been my favorite film ever since I first saw it as a kid.
@Steve: Brazil.
Kinda weary of this one, but my love for Matt Damon will give it a chance.
The backwards narrative keeps you just as confused Leonard is, and is done incredibly well. Great movie.
Finally got around to seeing this and was pretty blown away. Amazing cinematography and a great story. Can't beat Kurosawa.
If I could give it a zero, I definitely would.
