The correct title for this one is "French Roast".
"Je suis un bébé requuuiiiiinnnnnn...."
Besides being a great short, it gets extra points for the Jules et Jim 45 tours, the Eric Rohmer and Juliette Gréco affiches, the picture of Anna Karina from Vivre sa Vie, and for playing the Troggs at the end.
Double post. This was the working title, then they settled on "Vie Héroïque". http://www.theauteurs.com/films/24116
Nice try. Raté!!
I agree with Herbie. Though I feel strongly enough to say you should watch this only for the great Fellini short with Terence Stamp. The other two shorts can't touch it. The score by Nino Rota knocks my socks off.
I remember watching this as a kid, maybe 6 or 7 years old in music class, and I loved it even then. Simple, but amazing work.
Amazing visuals, brutual truth, but jesus christ, why the tacky music?
I agree. Bizarre...
I'll second that, Josh.
What a great film, all around. I love the candy colors.
I think this film and René Clair are truly underrated.
Like a tv movie. So bad, it will make you laugh. It even recycles some of the "In the Mood for Love" music.
