Seriously ace.
My favourite George Lucas film.
One of the best films there's ever been. That's it.
Perfect mix of horror and science fiction.
Lewis and De Niro are superb. A great film. Scorsese's, (less obvious) best film. Probably.
I've always liked this film.
Possibly Sellers finest moment in film.
Funny and fucked up. (Slightly)
Takes the TV- based material of Kenneth Johnson (V, Alien Nation) to a higher level, and creates a beautiful, brutal and epic film that manages to be entertaining, engaging, sad, pathetic, terrible, horrible and touching.
Not the greatest film ever but an important film that pioneers and builds on film-making techniques. Certainly not over-rated. Many 25 or 26 year old's today don't know how to scratch their arse properly, let alone make a film of this standard.
'There...is...no...sanctu-arryy...old MAN!' Not a classic by any means but an enjoyable tub of science fiction flavoured popcorn.
An important director. The attention to detail and composition is jaw dropping.
H.G. Wells' worst nightmare.
Ace. Just ace.
One of my favourite films of all time. More people have to see it. Sure, it's dark, and depressing but for me Rock Hudson makes this struggle between fantasy and reality his own...and you feel for him every second of the way. (Honestly I didn't intend that as a pun)
A fascinating portrait of eccentricity and indivdualism against a backdrop of prejudice and ignorance. If nothing else the film is worth it for the court room scene and the bits where Mr Deeds is merrily playing his tuba.
Robin Williams best role since Mork. Seriously, I rae this film highly. A disturbing slow burner.
'That was...stupid.' Iconic line.
