This movie is the very definition of cinema.
I personally really enjoyed this film despite all the negative press/reviews it's been getting. It has flaws sure, but it's about 100% more creative than most anything you see in the mainstream...def a must see IMO. Here's my review: http://thefilmstage.com/zna
This is hands down my favorite film of the year thus far...check out my review: http://thefilmstage.com/2010/04/16/review-exit-through-the-gift-shop/
Probably the worst Egoyan film in his body of work...peep my review: http://thefilmstage.com/2010/03/26/review-chloe/
Barton Fink has been my all time favorite Coen brother film for a long time. A Serious Man might dethrone it from the top spot because this film might be the best fusion of the two distinct styles of filmmaking the Coen brother display in their body of work (dark comedy and philosophical mystery). A Serious man is a seriously restrained subtle work of art. A genuine masterpiece and instant classic!
Gee I wonder if he'd be making movies if it wasn't for dear ol dad...oh wait, he definitely wouldn't. There should be a new category on Auteurs for celebrity children...aka talentless hacks (Sofia Coppola). Showbiz kids with 0 talent piss me off. Sorry for the rant.
Can't wait to see this...the trailer is soooo good!
My favorite director of all time...his seven films can be watched in order as one for a truly profound effect.
