Hey Benn - An Irishman in Hamburg - that sounds like a movie title. I've really enjoyed moving about the Mubi neighborhood and finding fellow film enthusiasts - even those self prescribed, unabashedly film-obsessed. I'll have to check out Paul - it didn't make my initial view list but I'm always interested in giving a film a chance, especially when others find value in it. All films deserve an audience even when that audience doesn't include me. cheers-> rory

Hey Rory... Paul is enjoyable, especially if you like the Spaced-Brigade. It's a bit broader than their usual smart comedy but it was perfect for a Friday evening after a long week. After reading your review of Close Encounters I had to have a movie night on Sunday and introduce a few friends to it who had never seen it before. I'm glad to say it's as fantastic as I remember and I'm glad to say I could still feel that little spark of wonder about the universe that it instills in me with every viewing; they loved it too; it's always a nice feeling introducing people to a film you truly love.
