Grave Encounters

I thought this had some potential. The first chunk of the film had very good atmosphere and I even enjoyed the humor of the documentation. Then it gets into the poorly CGI-ghost creatures, silly "scary moments" that fell flat, and the out-of-place back story of the asylum coming into play. Disappointing.

Starship Troopers is still my favourite Verhoeven, but Showgirls is a very close 2nd (with Robocop at 3rd). Brilliant satire.

The old diving helmet gag is awesome man. That movie stands surprisingly strong on its own, I expected it to be a case of "Well, it isn't Good, Bad, Ugly".
