Frankenweenie

Tim Burton's feeling uninspired lately. His last original idea dates back 7 years (the lukewarm 'Corpse Bride') and now he's remaking his own shorts; in style and story, this is a combination of the first 'Frankenweenie' and 'Vincent', another early Burton work. The movie's also packed with nudges to the great horror classics, so for originality, this is a zero. But still, it's a funny, very entertaining homage. 3/5
