What is the first Foreign Language film you remember seeing? over 2 years ago

I was a little late on foreign language films; but it was either:

1) ‘Le Ballon Rouge’ aka ‘The Red Balloon’ (required for french class, still enjoyable. )
OR
2) ‘Abre Los Ojos’ aka ‘Open Your Eyes’.

I watched both of these films around the same time period; I don’t recall which one was viewed first.

When I say "A Perfect Film", What One Film Pops Into Your Head First? over 2 years ago

“Brick”. That may seem silly; however I think that Rian Johnson hit the neo-noir nail right on the head with this one.

Swedish Films that Define the 2000s over 2 years ago

I, surprisingly, am not up on my Swedish film views, but out of the few I’ve seen in the past decade, I would have to go with “Låt den rätte komma in” aka “Let the Right One In”
soooo perfect.

Who's better than Stanley Kubrick? over 2 years ago

Personal opinion: David Lynch. However, the two can’t really be compared, and Kubrick remains an amazing director.

Oh Nathan, I wish I could help you out, but there are a massive amount of Japanese films. Perhaps if you remember details/plot, etc., I could be of some assistance?
