I Agree, when ever i think about songs being used in films my mind flies straight to Wes Anderson. I can’t listen to Ooh La La by the Faces anymore with out immediately thinking of the slow motion end of Rushmore. Also I really love the use of Cat Stevens in Harold and Maude.
Ah, musycks nice call. And with Paul Thomas Anderson you can’t forget Jesse’s Girl and the other songs played in the drug deal scene with Tom Jane near the end of Boogie Nights.
The Neon in Dayton OH is really the only good place in Dayton to see movies. They have the most comfortable chairs of any theater I’ve ever been in and they are often the only place in the city playing foreign or arthouse films.
I was really mad and confused after i saw Blue Velvet, but even a few weeks after i saw it i couldn’t stop thinking about it. So i went on to see some of Lynch’s other films and then i revisited it and i found that i actually liked it a lot better. And since then i’ve seen it a few more times and it just keeps growing on me.
Since i’ll be 18 soon enough i just tell people i’m 18. And this fall i plan on going to my local community college! I’m setting the bar pretty high for the rest of my life, i know.
I remember tearing up at the end of Lady Vengeance with her daughter and th music that was playing. I laughed out of surprise at the cake part but it was still beautiful.

This was way underrated. Everyone I know that saw it thought it was boring but i loved it.
