This was the suprise of the year. The greatest romantic-comedy (if you could even call it that) in a long time. Fresh and witty and real - not like most of the films that come from that genre these days. And of course there's the added bonus of Zooey Deschanel. :)
The greatest noir picture ever made. Joseph H. Lewis was by far one of American cinema's greatest talents.
What an amazing film this one is. Kubrick's most well-done picture. Every shot reminiscent of a painting. If one were ever to doubt that CINEMA is ART, this would be one of the first films I would show them.
Reaffirms the fact that WKW is one of the leading directors of today. So far, the masterpiece of this century.
One of Fellini's very best (and coincidentally, one of his very last masterpieces). Nostalgic without being too sentimental. Humorous without being a comedy.
Another one of those incredible films that for whatever reason became obscure in the annals of cinema history. Nouvelle Vague meets the psychological thriller.
A film that surpasses perfection. Quite possibly the greatest film ever made.
Probably the best comedy ever made (and certainley the most quotable).
