No, man. Sadly, I haven't seen any Powell/Pressburger yet... but I'll tell you when I finally do. Unfortunately, is a little difficult to get those films here, plus I've been quite busy lately. I'll go for the ones you told me to watch first (black nacissus and I know where i'm going) Interesting list you made, there's a couple of my favorites there. Take care.
My top 25 favourite films, for those who care: 1. The Wizard of Oz (1939) 2. The Clock (1945) 3. Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) 4. Black Narcissus (1947) 5. Brief Encounter (1945) 6. Dogfight (1991) 7. All About Eve (1950) 8. Rear Window (1954) 9. I Know Where I'm Going! (1945) 10. Grey Gardens (1976) 11. Ordinary People (1980) 12. Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (1997) 13. The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) 14. Mr. and Mrs. Bridge (1990) 15. Mary Poppins (1964) 16. The English Patient (1996) 17. West Side Story (1961) 18. East of Eden (1955) 19. The Night of the Hunter (1955) 20. Clueless (1995) 21. Ghost World (2001) 22. Metropolitan (1991) 23. Far from Heaven (2002) 24. Scenes from a Marriage (1973) 25. The Women (1939) Comments? Thoughts???
I'll follow your advice of watching 'black narcissus' and 'I know where i'm going' first. Last good film I saw was 'In cold blood' which is not here in the auteurs' database yet, and it should be. is just as good as the book. Tonight I'm going to watch 'au revoir les enfants' which I've been told is very good. have a nice weekend.
