No.
It has been a damn good year for movies.
The Tree of Life has been dethroned as best movie of 2011.
This is certainly a movie featuring actors and a plot.
My second favorite movie of the year behind The Tree of Life.
These two movies should never be mentioned in the same sentence. The Tree of Life is a poetic, philosophical, and spiritual masterpiece. Drive is nothing but trash masquerading as arthouse cool--poorly written and pretentiously directed with clumsy characters, flimsy plot, excessive graphic violence, and an overall style which is mind-numbing.
Real documentary or elaborate hoax by Banksy, this is still a hell of a watch.
With more humor than expected, True Grit continues the Coen Brothers streak of winning movies.
One of the best action movies I've ever seen, animated or live action.
One of the most important documentaries in a long time.
It's a perfect movie for one of those late nights.
A fantastic ending to what will be known as one of cinemas finest trilogies.
There will never be a day where I cannot watch this movie.
Some of the most breath-taking special effects I have seen in a very long time. You cannot see this movie in anything other than 3D.
It is never a bad time to watch Kill Bill.
Fast paced and hard hitting, 24 Hour Party People is an excellent look into the Manchester music scene. Edited perfectly to suit the hectic life of Tony Wilson, it is a shame that the DVD is out of print.
Tarantino's vision of World War II is an epic. You go in expecting The Dirty Dozen, you come out having seen Once Upon a Time in the West.
It runs on the slow side, but by the end you realize that Gomorrah falls together into amazing movie.
A true masterpiece in Japanese cinema.
One of the most brutal films about war ever made, Black Hawk Down is an excellent portrayal of urban combat from one side. It gets a lot of flack for only showing the American side and downplaying the loss of lives on the Somalis, but that is the point of the movie. Scott puts us into the movie with the American troops for the entire battle.
Possibly the most well put-together animation I have ever seen.
This is the only anti-war film I have ever seen that does not glamourize the act of war itself. A disturbing work of art.
