The restraint in this movie is not stressed well enough. It feels fassbinder but quite unlike his usual 'style'. I want to watch this again!
that character! Amazing.
would be great in HD. one can dream....
this time around, I actually liked it. I miss this feeling of going in the theater and be awed. I wonder what would Kubrick have done with this.
Still amazing almost a year later. Richard Harris is astonishing.
Amazing film with an amazing set of cinematic theses.
Brad Dourif's performance was engaging
energetic. need to watch this again!
my jaw dropped the moment his smile turned to a frown in a flash. amazing.

You want to hug this film after and way after you watch and rewatch this.
i don't whether i should laugh or frown or empathize...this is a very nice movie!
I wished i saw it in the theater! one of the earliest movies that I was aware that it was a movie: editing and story. I don't get why this seems forgotten.
This blew me away. Maybe because I got to see two of Bergman's films before this, i got to ease a little bit in Bergman's logic. I can't wait to finish watch in the television version!
I've seen the theatrical version and i would really like to compre that to this version. I was smitten by the movie. wow.
amazing. nostalgic.
I found the story very interesting. I found the acute attention to detail even more so. That's dedication!
this page NEEDS to be updated...and where's 'Killing Machine"?
You watch this and wonder...really? do the Japanese permit these things in their culture? and then you think: yes, and i see some that too in mine. Very good film, and a very beautiful ending.
Legend
Saw it a year before, still thinking about it today. From the first blast of energy down to Dirk's closing the door in the end, this movie was and is still a fun ride. Guaranteed entertainment! And the music! This film also introduced me to the 70s! What time!
